Recently I spent the evening exploring in the woods and watching the sunset with Brittny and Chris. It was lovely, if you disregard Chris being eaten by mosquitoes! (In late September?!) Brittny's son, Harlan, came along because we wanted to get some family shots, and he wanted to learn more about photography, which completely melted my heart. He is hilarious, climbed up almost every rock and tree he could find, and is already a very talented photographer. It was so sweet to witness how these two have found a balance parenting together.
I love getting to see the different ways people love on each other. Brittny has a way she looks at Chris, calm and trusting. You can just feel how proud she is of him. During our session she would snuggle her face into his chest every time he made her laugh. Chris was stoic and caring. He had a way of looking out for her when we were walking along a rocky path or climbing up or down a hill, making sure she didn't fall. It's those small moments, the nuzzles and glances unique to each couple, that I simply cannot get enough of. I am beyond grateful to be welcomed to capture that connection people share. Enjoy these sweet moments of this wonderful family!
